Concord Academy, based in Massachusetts, featured Conversation for Civility (C𝑓C ) in their February 2026 magazine issue. In the Can We Mend Our Civic Fabric? article, C𝑓C co-founder Katrina (Kate) Pugh offers the value in making shifts in conversation to prevent “othering” and to check assumptions. “Pay attention to the composite of your interactions,” said Pugh. “You may also find an opportunity to use a new conversation muscle. Because no interaction is too small, you can be the one to sow new forms of civility.”  Kate and C𝑓C were featured alongside Rahn Dorsey (President and CEO Eastern Bank Foundation) and Eric Nguyen (Senior Director of Consulting and Training at nonprofit  YW Boston).

C𝑓C is currently offering training and coaching in the five discussion disciplines,  including the self- and system- care required for civil conversation.  C𝑓C participants have been receptive and brave in their quests to try on new 5DD practices in conversation (like practicing a move that’s uncomfortable and narrating their process). Such action not only helps people explore new ways of being and knowing, but it also builds relationships.
