As we open ourselves to 2026 and all it can bring, Conversation for Civility took a moment to pause and celebrate everything the network built in 2025. Last year marked an important shift from exploration to the disciplined practice of civility, collaboration, and creativity in the spaces that need it most.
Here are a few highlights from the 2025:
- Completed the “tour” of the Five Discussion Disciplines, deepening shared language and practice across the network.
- Expanded CfC’s reach through introductions and presentations to MIT Media Lab, Tufts Gordon School of Engineering Management, the Catalyst Network in Melbourne, and impact investors at Bangtail Partners.
- Launched foundational infrastructure, including version one of our governance model, Creative Commons intellectual property framework, and CfC “Who’s Who” connective tissue.
- Built learning assets with a completed self-paced training guide, seven training videos, a growing glossary, and 30+ curated references.
- Advanced Practice Automation through transcript labeling workshops and collaboration with Columbia University’s Information and Knowledge Strategy Masters program to explore AI-supported 5DD discovery.
- Strengthened go-to-market readiness, including the CfC Network One-pager, GTM archetypes from the Tradecraft hackathon, and drafted “Organization in Transition” CfC Blueprint.
- Piloted real-world application, including a project with high school students focused on dialogue, learning, and leadership.
